Accreditation status
ANAB-accredited Validation and Verification Body under ISO 14065.
Accreditation is reviewed on a recurring cycle — granted once, but never left unchecked.
Sustainext is an ANAB-accredited Validation and Verification Body under ISO 14065. Accreditation confirms, through an independent third party, that our processes, competence, and impartiality meet the requirements a market can rely on — it isn't a self-declared claim.
Accreditation is maintained through recurring surveillance audits, not granted once and left unchecked. Where our scope expands into a new discipline or standard, that expansion is itself independently assessed before we operate under it.
Accreditation scope
What accreditation means
- Independent confirmation of process, competence, and impartiality
- Recognition under the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement
- A published, auditable scope of what we're accredited to assess
How it's maintained
- Recurring surveillance audits by the accreditation body
- Independent assessment before any new discipline is added
- Published conflict-of-interest and governance policies
We verify against the standards and methodologies our clients are already registered under, or need to report against — not a proprietary standard of our own. Coverage spans carbon removal and reduction methodologies, ISO environmental standards, and corporate GHG accounting frameworks.
Each standard we support maps to one of our four accredited disciplines, so it's always clear which accredited scope a given opinion is issued under, rather than one undifferentiated "verification" label.
Standards by discipline
Carbon & climate standards
- Verra VCS, Gold Standard, ACR, CAR — carbon removal and reduction
- Paris Agreement Article 6.2 / 6.4
- BioCarbon Standard and national compliance schemes
- Sector-specific methodologies within each registry
Assurance & LCA standards
- ISO 14064-1 / 14064-3 — GHG inventories
- ISO 14040 / 14044 — life cycle assessment
- ISO 14067, GHG Protocol Product Standard — product footprints
Sustainext is an accredited Validation and Verification Body for the Teravent Carbon Registry, with status, evidence, and issuance requests flowing directly through our platform rather than a separate manual upload process.
We're building toward integration with additional major registries and national schemes as our accreditation scope expands — the platform is architected for registry integration from day one, so adding a new registry is a scope expansion, not a re-build.

How integration works
- Status and evidence sync through the platform, not manual upload
- Issuance requests routed directly to the registry
- New registries added as accreditation scope expands
Case studies & insights
Published as availableAs engagements complete, and with the client's agreement, we publish case studies and field notes here — what was verified, what the process looked like, and what buyers, registries, or regulators can take from the outcome.
We don't publish claims we can't stand behind, so this section grows as real engagements finish rather than being filled with illustrative examples in advance.
